In the course of an open lesson, a discussion was held with students on the topic of SDG-7. Ways and opportunities were discussed, as well as the general situation in the world to promote this goal.

     The world continues to move towards achieving the Seventh Sustainable Development Goal. There are encouraging signs of improvement in the availability of stable and increasingly affordable energy. The process of providing electricity to poor countries is accelerating, and energy efficiency continues to grow. The electric power sector is making significant progress in the development of renewable energy sources.

     However, it is important to focus efforts on expanding access to clean and safe fuel sources and culinary technologies for three billion people, as well as increasing the use of renewable energy sources outside the electricity sector. Particular attention should be paid to increasing electrification in sub-Saharan Africa.

     The Energy Progress Report includes a global dashboard designed to track progress in energy availability, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. This report assesses the achievements of each country in these three key areas and provides an idea of how close we are to achieving the set Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
