International Akhanov Readings

On May 27, 2022, the XXV International Scientific and Methodological Conference Akhanov Readings "Sustainable Development: Language, Intercultural Communication and Digital Technologies" was held. The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Turkology and Theory of Language of the Faculty of Philology (Kazakhstan), the Eurasian Scientific and Coordination Center named after al-Farabi of Istanbul University (Turkey), Institute of Foreign Languages ​​of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Russia), Taraz International Innovation Institute (Kazakhstan), Aitmatov Academy (Great Britain) took part in organizing the conference. The international format of the conference made it possible to discuss topical issues of modern linguistics, the interaction of language and consciousness, the participation of language and culture in mental processes, the implementation of a dialogue of languages ​​and cultures, etc. The XXV conference made it possible to determine the problems and prospects for the study of languages, their teaching in the new modern conditions with the expansion of the information space and the use of modern technologies. The conference was held online. The event was attended by scientists and young researchers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Moldova, the USA, Great Britain, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries. The conference worked in three topical areas: Linguistics and digital transformation of society in the context of sustainable development, Digital pedagogy and teaching foreign languages, Intercultural communication in modern conditions. All conference participants noted the importance of the issues discussed for improving scientific research, the educational process, and the implementation of a constructive dialogue in the context of intercultural communication. The general opinion was expressed that the conference, organized at a high level, is promising and will be continued in subsequent years.
