"Mathematical Modeling of Processes in Plasma" laboratories

Laboratory of Mathematical Modeling of Processes in Plasma is engaged in the study of the properties of plasmas of complex composition and computer modeling of physical processes in plasma. The scientific results obtained in the laboratory have important applications in the study of controlled thermonuclear fusion and the study of astrophysical objects.

In the laboratory, work is carried out in the following scientific directions:

-        investigation of elementary processes of plasma of complex composition;

-        investigation of thermodynamic, transport, electrodynamic and optical properties of plasmas of complex composition;

-        investigation of the composition of plasma;

-        computer modeling of processes in plasma.

At the moment, there are the following research projects:

-        Investigation of the electron runaway phenomenon in dense semiclassical plasma, taking into account the non-Maxwellian distribution of particles; Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, prof. Dzhumagulova K.N.

-        Investigation of the properties of low-temperature complex plasma in an external magnetic field; Сandidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences., prof. Kodanova S.K.

-        Investigation of the structural and kinetic properties of dusty plasma in a glow discharge in electric and magnetic fields; Сandidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, prof. Kodanova S.K.

-        Influence of the wake field on the dynamics of strongly correlated heavy particles in classical, quantum and ultrarelativistic plasmas; PhD, associate professor Moldabekov Zh.A.

-        Computer modeling of the properties of dusty space plasma; PhD, Masheeva R.U.

The staff of the Laboratory includes more than 30 employees and consists of both recognized world-renowned scientists and young researchers who are taking their first steps in science. Of these, 2 professors, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 2 professors, Сandidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 1 associate professor, PhD, 3 acting associate professor, PhD, 1 post-doctoral student, PhD, 1 PhD, 6 doctoral students, 4 undergraduates.
