Laura Kuanova, the Director of Islamic Finance Centre participated in Astana Finance Days 2020, Islamic Finance Conference: Human Development for Islamic fin-tech industry as representative from Kazakhstan and region.

Moderator of the session was Dr. Ziyaad Mahomed, associate Dean – E-learning and Director of executive education, INCEIF – The Global University of Islamic Finance.

Speakers of the session were Dr. Humayon Dar, Chairman of Cambridge International Financial advisory, Mr. George Littlejohn, Senior adviser, Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, Mr. Mughees Shaukat, Head of Islamic Finance, Sultanate of Oman and Fintech Expert, MIT, USA, Mr. Mujtaba Khalid, Head of Islamic financial Center, BIBF and Laura Kuanova.

During the session speakers considered the problems and prospects of the development Islamic finance fin-tech and discussed about the perspectives of the industry. All foreign experts expressed their suggestions and recommendations for Kazakhstan and region and concluded that this sphere is promising and the country has capacities for growth on the basis of experiences of other countries.
