Together with the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a new laboratory on Radio Astronomy has been organized at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the main consultant of which is Professor Jiaerken Yeshengbieke (Zharkyn Yesimbek).
On September 28, 2023, at 14:00, at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a scientific seminar in the direction of “Physics and Astronomy” was organized by the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics in accordance with the roadmap for promotion in the THE IR and QS rankings.
The seminar was attended by Professor of the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zharkyn Yesimbek, PhD, researcher at Nazarbayev University Komesh Toktarkhan, Ph.D. Alimgazinova N., PhD, associate professor Khokhlov S.A., PhD, acting professors Ibraimov M.K., PhD Agishev A., PhD Kyzgarina M., PhD Khaniev B., executors of various projects and doctoral students of the department.
A doctoral student of the specialty “Physics and Astronomy” Manapbaeva A. gave a report entitled “H2CO and H110a observations toward the Aquila Molecular Cloud”. After the report, the seminar participants were able to ask the speaker questions. During the discussion on the issues covered at the seminar, speeches were made by Zharkyn Yesimbek, Komesh Toktarkhan, Ibraimova M.K.
The seminar ended with a closing speech from the head of the department of solid state physics and nonlinear physics M.K. Ibraimov, who noted the main results of the seminar and expressed hope for the continuation of an interesting discussion on this issue.
