On December 23, 2022, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the "International Kunaev`s Fund" jointly held a cultural and historical event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding statesman Dinmukhammed Akhmedovich Kunaev "Historical figures in the memory of the people". The conference was attended by the President of the "International Kunaev Fund" E.A. Kunaev, President of NAS RK M.Zh. Zhurinov, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.E. Kumekov, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.B. Karibaev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor K.S. Aldajumanov, Doctor of Philosophical Science, Professor, Director of the research center "Iran-Turan" I. Zhemeney, as well as a member of the "International Kunaev`s Fund" K. Srailov, the first director of the Kunaev Museum B.Z. Batalkhanov, and other leading historians, philologists, sociologists, representatives of state and public organizations, experts, and the media.

The official opening and plenary session began with awarding the Jubilee Order of the Kunaev Foundation, the Chairman-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU J.K. Tuimebayev and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Zh. Zhurinov.

Within the framework of the conference, took place the presentation of the 2nd edition of the book by D.A. Kunaev about his trip to China in 1954 under the title "30 Days in People's China".

During the event, were discussed the state, political and scientific activities of Kunaev, who had been at the head of Kazakhstan for more than a quarter of a century. At the same time, was analyzed decent work in the development of the socio-economic, economic, and cultural spheres of Kazakhstan. Contemporaries and representatives of the middle generation who worked with him shared their memories and discussed the significant contribution of the national figure to the development of the country's history.
