On October 18, at 11: 00 in the Faculty of History, the chair of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, a discussion seminar lesson was held on the topic "Search and evaluation of information sources. Critical evaluation of Web resources. Professional librarian: what should he be like today?" organized by senior teachers Tuenobaeva K.T. and teachers Mukasheva Sh.B. in honor of the "Librarian's Day". The seminar was attended by 3rd cource students and 1st course undergraduates of the "Library Information Systems" major. During the lesson, the issues of the status of libraries and librarians were considered, the skills of modern librarians were analyzed, a discussion was held among students and undergraduates on the formation of a new image of librarians in society as the main carriers of information. In order to study the topic, answers were given to quiz questions prepared with the help of the "Kahoot" program by 3rd course students, and at the end of the lesson, a video of congratulations from librarians on a professional holiday was viewed.
