One of the objectives of the conference was to discuss the problems of developing bone marrow donation in Kazakhstan, informing the population, youth, professional practitioners, and patients about the development of the institute of bone marrow donation in Kazakhstan and the activities of the ABF Foundation.

The event implements the Sustainable Development Goals - SDG 3 “Health and Well-Being”, SDG 17 “Global Partnership for Development”.

One of the tasks of the ABF Foundation is to assist the Research and Production Center for Transfusiology of the Ministry of Health and the National Register of the Republic of Kazakhstan in solving the problems of the shortage of potential bone marrow donors, in increasing the production capacity of the immunological tissue typing laboratory, which conducts histocompatibility tests, in opening a branch of the laboratory on the basis of the Republican Center blood in Almaty, purchasing the necessary equipment, reagents and training.
