From May 28 to June 4, 2022, within the framework of the project AP09259851 “Development of a circular economy in Kazakhstan: potential, trends, prospects”, members of the research team of the project Sagieva R.K. and Kalmakova D.T. completed a scientific internship at the Faculty of Economics Alesandra Lamfalussi of the University of Sopron, Sopron, Hungary. During the trip the following work was carried out:

- a meeting was held with representatives of the international relations office. With an office represented by Dr. Zoltán Szabó, possible areas of cooperation regarding academic mobility were discussed, including within the framework of grants from the Hungarian Government Stipendium Hungaricum, scientific supervision of doctoral students.

- a meeting was held with the leadership of the Faculty of Economics Alesandra Lamfalussi of the University of Sopron: Dean, Professor Zsuzsanna Széles, and Deputy Dean, Dr. Erzsébet Nedelka. During the meeting, issues of cooperation regarding educational programs, academic mobility, joint writing of scientific articles and the implementation of research projects were discussed. In addition, experience in teaching and scientific activities was exchanged.

- a meeting was held with the director of the research office of the University of Sopron Balázs István Tóth. During the meeting, the interim results of the scientific project “Development of a circular economy in Kazakhstan: potential, trends, prospects” were presented and discussed. During the discussion, we were introduced to the projects being implemented at the University of Sopron. Based on the results of the discussion, we received recommendations for further implementation of the scientific research.
