Leading the Global Hub of the UN "Academic Impact" was entrusted to al-Farabi KazNU

Leaders of the Education and Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was entrusted with the leadership of the UN Global Hub to manage sustainable development until 2020. On April 12 of this year, the certificate came from our university at the headquarters of the "Academic Impact" program that signed by Secretary General of the United Nations Global Communications Alison Smell. KazNU became the first Central Asian country to join the "Academic Impact" program, supporting principles like the ten world-renowned UN human rights, literacy, sustainable development and conflict resolution in 2011. The University actively do the tasks of "Digital Kazakhstan", maintaining its high position as a scientific and academic center. KazNU attracts young researchers to the scientific and educational environment to support the global energy and environmental initiatives of the President of Kazakhstan attracted by the program of "Green Bridge" from generation to generation. During the meeting between the Head of the State and the President of Russia, the KazNU and the URFU agreed to move the "Green Bridge from generation to generation" international level. Currently, 25 universities of Kazakhstan are included in the UN "Academic Impact" program. The Alliance of Universities have been established to improve the academic environment and the intellectual level of young people through the global challenges of the UN. Get the a special certificate on registration of KazNU as the UNAI hub, the University has set new tasks and aims to actively participate in science and sustainable development. With the support of the UN representatives and the US Embassy, KazNU is hosting the World Student Program in Almaty, "UN Model - New Silk Road", which will help future professionals develop the prerequisites for solving world problems in accordance with global principles. For more than seven years, the University has been implementing the Global Classroom International Program. And this international project is being implemented jointly with the US Columbia University. KazNU has repeatedly conducted international scientific and theoretical conferences with the support of the United Nations. In addition, the KazNU has been registered as an authoritative member of the Sustainable Development Area in the UNESCO-UNITWIN program. And the city of the KazNU was the "smart city" for the "smart nation" and fulfilled the tasks of the "Green City". The most importantly, KazNU collaborates with the Institute of Sustainable Development of Columbia University. A group of scientists headed by G. Mutanov will take part in a conference undernamed of the great thinker Al-Farabi which organized by the UN headquarters.
