On April 27, the Bishkek University of Humanities held the 23rd Central Asian Speech Contest in Japanese. The competition was attended by 15 contestants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

During the event, students of 3-4 courses of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of the Far East, Baltabay Sandugash, Tapenova Gulden, Bakytkeldi Saulet and Bazilbek Madi took part in the competition and demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Japanese. They also exchanged educational experience and got acquainted with the culture of the Kyrgyz people.

The competition was organized by the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in the Kyrgyz Republic and the BHU named after K.Karasayev with the support of the Embassy of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Japan Foundation. The competition was sponsored by the Japan Foundation, the travel agency NH Tabi, the Nami & Co intercultural communication center, the alumni association of the Japanese branch of the BHU and the MEXT scholarship Alumni association.

As a result of the competition, the 4th year student of the Department of the Far East Bazilbek Madi took the 5th place and received an award from the Alumni Association of the Japanese branch of the BHU.

In addition, all participants were awarded incentive prizes set by SBT Japan Stock Company, the Department of Japanese Philology of the BHU and graduate Z. Mamasheva.

At the end of the event, the Japanese Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Yoshihiro Yamamura arranged a reception for the participants of the competition.

In addition, on April 28, an international seminar of Japanese language teachers was held at BHU on the modern methods of teaching university students.
