At the Department of TURKSOY Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University Al-Farabi General Consul of the Republic of Turkey Riza Kagan Yilmaz held a consular hour on the theme "Friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey".

At the consular hour there was a General Consul of the Republic of Turkey Riza Kagan Yilmaz, Vice Consuls Altai Alper and Mehmet Duzgen, commercial attachés Osman Bettepe and Hilmi Sozel, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, PhD., P.M. Yhtiyar, head of the department of TURKSOY T.E. Kydyr, professors, teachers and students of the TURKSOY chair, as well as many other guests.

General Consul of the Republic of Turkey Riza Kagan Yilmaz told in his interview about the friendship between Turkey and Kazakhstan, which is based on a common historical cultural connection, about the relationship of the Republic of Turkey and independent Kazakhstan in the process of globalization and confidence in its future, that at the moment the main task is to ensure the security of the two countries, further strengthening of friendly relations between countries and diplomatic, economic, international, cultural, scientific and education cooperation.

In addition to the above, Consul General Riza Kagan Yilmaz expressed his gratitude to KazNU. Al-Farabi and the Chair of the TURKSOY Faculty of Oriental Studies, whose representatives organized this meeting, and also wished both countries prosperity based on trust and mutual respect.
