The female team of "KazNU Squirrels" became one of the best in the final of the National Basketball Student League!

Games of the Student League of the Republic of Kazakhstan for basketball have started in Almaty. Final fights of basketball were in the sport complex "Dostyk" on 25^th of April 2018. The tournament aroused a great interest. The eight best women’s teams from all over Kazakhstan, representing many cities of our republic, like Astana. Almaty, Karaganda. Pavlodar, Tarazandothers challenged the title of the champion.

The women's team of our university was one of the best, won the second place. Women's team from KazNU named after al-Farabi was formed from strongest basketball players. The team of "KazNU Squirrels", supported by professional trainers, demonstrates quality development indicators and increases the prestige of the university.

It is gratifying that a student of the Higher School of Economics and Business, specializing in Marketing – Alfira Fakhrutdinova, represents the composition of this team.During the years of her studies, participating in many various student projects, having excellent academic performance, she repeatedly won prizes in the sports life of University and the Higher School of Economics.
