The largest amateur sport festival in Central Asia - the international seventh Almaty Marathon was held.

This year "Almaty Marathon" gathered more than 14 thousand runners from 38 countries. New routes, new tracks.

The track was divided into the distance: 3 km (children 10-14 years), 10 km, 21.1 km (half marathon) and 42.2 (marathon) and 10 km step in Scandinavian walking.

Students of KazNU named after al-Farabi, specialty of Physical Culture and Sport, took part in this grandiose event.

Absolute winners of the 21 kilometer distance became Amangos Islam (4 year) with the result 1:13:50 and Mamazhanova Zhanna (master's degree) with the result 1:26:11.

At a distance of 10 kilometers the winner was a student of the first year of FCCC - Saunin Svetlana, her result - 42:29.

It should be noted that Mamazhanova Zhanna - three-time champion of Almaty-marathon at a distance of 21 kilometers.
