On the 4th of November, 2016 in the Small Hall of the international relations faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University there took place the presentation of Student Scientific Council of the international relations faculty.

At the presentation were present:

• Shakirov Karimzhan Nurumovich - Dean of International Relations Department al-Farabi KazNU 

• Delovarova Leyla Fiodorovna - Deputy Head of Department for Science and Innovation and International Relations

• Chukubayev Yermek Samarovich -Head of Department of the international relations and world economy

• Aydarbayev Sagyngaly Zholamanovich - Head of Chair of international law

• Tusupova Almagul Zhagaltayevna - Deputy Head of Chair on Academic and Educational Issues

• Baymagambetova Zulfiya Mazhitovna - Deputy Head of Chair on Academic and Educational Scientific-Innovational Activity and International Cooperation

• Zhaylau Zhanat - Ph.D. of Department of international law

The aim of the event was to draw attention of students to activities of Student Scientific Council of the international relations faculty, familiarizing with student's self-government, and also to take activists.  

The Student Scientific Council of the international relations faculty is the new body of student's self-government directed to support of a student's initiative. The Council is the voluntary public consolidation of students of created for the purpose of development of scientific research activities among students and fortification of innovative capacity of faculty.

Formation of Student Scientific Council was dictated by desire of a management of the international relations faculty to create the most favorable conditions for support of a student's initiative in scientific, research and innovative activities.

The meeting was opened by Sleta Victoriya, the Chairman of Student Scientific Council, a student of a 3^rd year of a specialty of international law which acted as the initiator of creation at faculty of this Council. In the opening speech she emphasized the importance of self-education in modern society and once again reminded that the youth is the intellectual future of our country and that for intensive development of the country we are necessary the highly qualified specialists who are ready to participate in innovative projects. 

During the presentation the Chairman of Student Scientific Council of the Faculty of International Relations Sleta Victoriya told about the background of the Student Scientific Council, the benefits of membership and opportunities for self-realization in the structure of the organization. Also was analyzed the work which was done by the council in the first seven days of its functioning, was introduced the work plan for the next 2 working weeks.

During the presentation took place a discussion on the neсеssities and benefits of student participation in research - innovation activity. Students expressed their opinions on this matter, also professors of the Faculty took part in the conversation too. They said what encouraged them to do scientific work and answered the questions asked by the students.

Students who take the initiative in the preparation to the general meeting of the Student Scientific Council of Faculty of International Relations (Pozdnyakova Catherine, Yurlova Diana, Pelipeyko Xenia, Turganbaev Sanjar, Baiseitova Laura, Kim Veronica, Ospanova Inkara, Kostenko Alexandra), appealed to the audience with a call in the same way as they were, join the ranks of the Council.

At the end of the official part the leadership of the Faculty confirmed the readiness to support the students in the manifestation of their abilities and initiatives in the scientific life of the Faculty and expressed the hope that the students will make a decision to actively engage in scientific work of the Student Scientific Council of the Faculty of International Relations from now on.
During the informal part was held intellectual interactive game - "Own Game", by the results of which winning teams were awarded with diplomas and sweet prizes.

The presentation of Student Scientific Council of IRF forced many students to think seriously about their development in this direction. Very soon they will be able to learn from within the entire system of interaction and apply their knowledge, skills and abilities in a team of Student Scientific Council of the Faculty of International Relations.
