Lomonosov Askar Akaev and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Robert Nigmatulin with scientists, teachers and students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

10.20.2023 within the walls of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of KazNU named after. al-Farabi passed the X Iranian Olympiad in Geometry for students in grades 7-11.

This academic year marks the 90th anniversary of the formation of Al-Farabi KazNU. For the significant anniversary, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics began to organize historical and educational meetings.

In order to implement the events of “Twenty years of study and development of natural, exact and mathematical sciences in the field of science and education,” the Tajik National University is holding an International Internet Olympiad in mathematics among 1-5 year students of higher educational institutions on November 23-25, 2023.

From October 16-20, 2023, under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, the University of Poitiers (Poitiers, France) was visited by Madina Yesimkhanovna Mansurova, head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of the Faculty of Information Technologies, and Doszhan Nursultan Sagynayuly, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation Activities Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

According to the order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an additional state grant was awarded to Akhmetzhan Alisher, a 2nd-year student of the specialty "Computational Sciences and Statistics" of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, and Zholdas Bekzhan, a 3rd-year student of the specialty "Space Engineering and Technology".

On the last school day of the week, the teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics took an active part in the clean-up, swept the territory assigned to them, cleaned up garbage and put in order workplaces, laboratories and departments of the faculty.
