Based on the al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the leadership of Academician G.M. Mutanov in the period from December 26 to December 28, 2017 International Conference "Inverse Problems in Finance, Economics and Life Sciences" was held.
The Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics implementing the International Project «Enhanced capacity of engineering educators within Kazakhstan universities to teach course content and use novel pedagogical methods to up skill graduates» (Industry Academia Partnership Programme, IAPP\1516\18) financed by Royal Academy of Engineering and Newton Fund. Head of the Project from Kazakhstan side is professor Balakayeva Gulnar Tultayevna. Terms of the project: March 2016 – February 2018. Grant holder is Newcastle University, total amount 50 thousand GBP.

With the new 2017-2018 academic year, prof. orientational work at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. September 7 in the cities of Astana and Almaty (on the basis of our faculty KazNU after al-Farabi) was the Iranian IV Olympiad in geometry.
