THE REPUBLICAN OLYMPIAD "AL-FARABI" -

LAUNCH PAD ON THE WAY TO KNOWLEDGE

The Republican Olympiad "al-Farabi" is held by al-Farabi Kazakh national University in cooperation with the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republican scientific-practical center "Daryn" from 2009 y. It has involved more than 45 thousand students from all regions of Kazakhstan.

The main goals and objectives of the Olympiad – to identify the students ' creative abilities, promotion of knowledge, support of gifted students, development of interest in research activities and the creation of conditions for intellectual development.

The Olympiad is held for 12-and General subjects:

mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, Informatics, history of Kazakhstan and world history, Kazakh language and literature, Russian language and literature, English language, German language, French language.

In the Olympics involved students of 11-12 grades. Educational institutions of Kazakhstan (secondary schools, lyceums, gymnasiums).

Stages and rules for the passage of the Olympics

- Registration of participants on the website www.kaznu.kz in the section "Incoming".

Olympiad consists of 3 rounds:

I round in on-line mode

Round I consists of 30 questions, each correct answer 1 point

Round II in the on-line mode

Round II consists of 30 questions, each correct answer 1 point (test questions on the items on the 2nd round will be presented from:

- select one of the suggested answers

- enter your answer with keyboard)

Round III – full-time form of the meeting in al-Farabi KazNU, Almaty

The third round consists of two stages

• · essay writing, tasks solving

• · research (project participants).

Rules of conduct 1-2 tours of the Olympiad:

In the graph at a certain time a participant visits the site http://online-test.kaznu.kz. The participant may participate in round 1 and 2, where there is Internet access (at school, at home, etc.). The participant is registered (information about yourself filled strictly in Cyrillic, data, filled with Latin will not be considered).

The winners: for each subject identified participants who showed the best results and will be awarded with diplomas of I, II and III RK.

The winners will receive certificates and the preferential right of admission to KazNU named after al-Farabi.
