On December 16 at the platform "ZOOM" in honor of the 29th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Department of Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Senior Lecturer of Arabic Studies Zhumazhanova F., with the students held an online meeting on "Zheltoksan - the harbinger of Independence of Kazakhstan!

P.M. Suleimenov, Head of the Middle East and South Asia Department, congratulated the students on the occasion and delivered his opening speech. 

 Zhumabayeva Zhuldyz, a third year student of the department, dedicated her touching article "Column of Independence" to the event. Alpysbay Dinara, a first year student of the Far East Department, also attended. She performed kyu "Adai", giving the meeting a festive mood. The 2nd year students Kerimbay Symbat, Ersayeva Nurshat and Smagulova Aruzhan showed their presentations and read poems, dedicated to the Independence Day. At the end of the meeting the 3rd year student Azimhan Akmor M. told about the work of M. Shakhanov "Zheltoksan epopee" and shared new information about victims of December events - E. Sypatayev, L. Asanova, national hero - K. Ryskulbekov. 

After the presentation the participants discussed the topic and shared their impressions of the meeting. May our Independence be strong, our people proud, and our sovereignty enduring!
