On October 17 of the current year, Ibodzoda Khairullo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan, visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies and got acquainted with the life of the faculty. During the meeting, the ambassador presented to the center of “Tajik language and culture” of our faculty the book of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon “Tajiks in the mirror of history. From Aryans to the Samanids”, which was translated into the Kazakh language. The books were received by Pirimbek Suleimenov, head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia. These books will be kept in the book fund of the сenter.

The Ambassador expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the university administration. He also noted that he will always support the work of the center.

Since 2019, the Center for Tajik Language and Culture has been working at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The center was opened at the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Almaty. The center regularly hosts cultural events aimed at strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.

Young citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan who are studying in various fields of higher education in our country have the opportunity to visit the center, use the book fund and hold meetings.
