An international conference is held within the scientific project

In honor of the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, within the framework of the AR14871064 project, under the leadership of Professor L.G. Yerekesheva, launched a two-day international conference on the topic “Nation-building in South and Central Asia: enthicity, religion and traditions". On April 5th, at the grand opening of the conference, member of the Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Vice-Rector of Science and Innovation Aitzhanova Zh.N. congratulated the participants of the conference and wished them success. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the research results of a scientific project launched in 2022. Research scientists Rochana Bajpai from the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London, Dr. Bhavna Dave and Dean of the Faculty, Professor Matthew J. Nelson, Director of the Institute of Pakistani Studies at Kaidi Azam University, Professor Hanif Khalil, Researcher at the Council of International Affairs of India, Ph.D. Punit Gaur, Associate Professor of the Department of Research on Developing Societies in India Hilal Ahmed, Professor at the University of J. Nehru Sanjay Pandey, Kamala Nehru College researcher Maitri Pandey and Kazakhstani scientists shared their valuable research in the field of Indian studies.
