International relations of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia were presented

Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, on February 21, 2024, Senior lecturer of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Candidate of Philology Zhumazhanova F.T. held a seminar "International relations of the Department: past, present and future". The seminar was organized within the framework of a bilateral agreement between the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nur-Mubarak" on the practice of students.

During the seminar, information was provided on contracts and ways of their implementation in the direction of educational, scientific, literary, cultural, linguistic relations of the departments of Arabic studies, Iranian studies and Indology, with the countries of Arab states (Saudi Arabia, Arab Republic of Egypt, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE), the Islamic Republic of Iran (Saadi Foundation, Organization for the Dissemination of the Persian Language under the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Orientation, Tehran University, Bakheshti University), the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Hindi Language Centers in India, Vardha University, Jamia Mile University, Punjab University, National University of Modern Languages).

The students were told in detail that language courses for faculty and students of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia are held annually in universities and data centers of the countries, which is an integral part of the educational process, meetings, scientific, informative lectures and seminars with Oriental scholars of these countries are held.

Information that, with the support of partner organizations in these countries, the "Hall of Arabic Language and Culture", "Center for Iranian Studies", "Mahatma Gandhi Center", "Muhammad Ali Jinnah Center", "Center for Tajik Language and Culture" were opened at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, and the necessary stationery was sponsored accessories, technical means, textbooks and teaching aids necessary for the educational process increased the interest of students of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nur-Mubarak" to the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, especially to the Faculty of Oriental Studies. At the end of the seminar, the student trainees had the opportunity to get to know these centers directly.
