On February 12, 2024, the “Council of Young Scientists” of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ph.D. Kambarbekova Galiya Amzeevna held a scientific seminar “Sources: research methods, classification and problems arising in the course of research”.

During the seminar, the types of Persian sources were identified and issues of working with data were discussed. Source studies is an additional discipline in the study of history. Historical data is divided into written, material, ethnographic, oral, linguistic, photographic and phonographic documents. The scientist explained how to work with each of the historical data, the historical significance of the sources in Iran.

The seminar was attended by teachers of the department, undergraduates, doctoral students, the seminar ended with questions and answers, discussions of scientists.
