On October 19, within the framework of the paragraph “Partnership in the field of sustainable development” of the project “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDG), the Department of World Literature of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the direct participation of the Department of Iranian Studies of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized a literary evening on the occasion of the 975th anniversary of Omar Khayyam. That evening was attended by the director of the Iranian Cultural Center in Almaty Kh. Agazade, the deputy director of the Institute of Literature and Art named after M. Auezov T. Kydyr, the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after. al-Farabi N.B. Yem, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for scientific, innovative work and international relations S. Dzhakubayeva, Head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia D. Kokeyeva, teachers and graduate students of the Department of Iranian Studies, employees of the Department of World Literature of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
