RESEARCH HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT IN THE BRITISH LIBRARY

The British Library is a huge library with a collection of about 25 million rare manuscripts and books containing over 150 million items of valuable information, books, newspapers, videos, music notes, maps and images in the world's most popular languages. These manuscripts date even before our era. Iskakova Z.E. and Kokeeva D.M., lecturers in the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, conducted research at the British Library from December 2022 to January 2023 as part of project AP09260492, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sutton Headley, Head of Asian and African Studies at the British Library, and were given access to new materials on the topic of religious and philosophical syncretism in the countries of the East, including Indian and Turkic trends. We hope that the results of the research, including the translation and analysis of the materials obtained, will contribute to domestic science.
