The Department of Middle East and South Asia held a competition for the best essay on the topic "I and independence"

On December 14, 2021 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Oriental Studies Department of the Middle East and South Asia announced the results of the competition on the topic of the best essay "I and Independence", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and were awarded winners. The main goal of the competition was to increase the students 'sense of patriotism and show the students' ability to write essays in the studied oriental languages ​​(Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Urdu) taught in the Department of the Middle East and South Asia. In their essays dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4th year students and undergraduates who took part in the competition for the best essay talked about the difficult fate of our people and the selfless struggle of our ancestors. The participants were able to convey the heroism of their ancestors who fought for freedom, the history of independence and the very important fact that future generations will never forget it. At the same time, emphasizing that the future of our country is in the hands of educated and enthusiastic young people, each participant impressed with his sincere expression and free thinking that he is always ready to work hard and get the best education to make the future of our country brighter. The contestants for the best essay also demonstrated how they can write fluently in Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Urdu and are free to express their thoughts. It should be noted that each of the essays submitted for the competition is of great importance and superior to each other. According to the rules of the Best Essay Competition, separate prizes were awarded for essays written in each oriental language (Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Urdu). As a result, the winners of the Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Urdu language groups were awarded first, second and third degree diplomas and valuable prizes. In particular, Anes Adilbekov (Arabic), Meruert Kadirkhanova (Persian), Asel Asan (Hindi) awarded first-degree diplomas, Rakhiya Sabralieva (Arabic), Aigerim Buribaeva (Persian), Nazerke Zharbosynova (Urdu) awarded second-degree diplomas and Salman Kaziev and Bakizat Kapenova (Arabic), Aigerim Muratova (Persian) and Urumova Togzhan (Hindi) were awarded third-degree diplomas. In conclusion, the organizers of the competition decided to make the competition for the best essay traditional in the future.
