February 9, 2021 at the Iranian Studies Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi in an online format organized a round table "Achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran after the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
The moderators were the head of the Iranian studies department, PhD, acting associate professor of the Kazakh National University named after S. Al-Farabi Bolatbek BATYRKHAN and senior lecturer of the Faculty of International Relations of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov Akmaral TYULUBAEVA.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Majid Samadzade SABER. This was followed by the congratulations of the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Mukhsen FAGANI.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that due to some false information in the media, an ambivalent opinion about Iran has developed. In this regard, a 3rd year student of the Department of Oriental Studies of ENU Zhylkyshieva Maria made a presentation in order to dispel stereotypes about the Islamic Republic of Iran and show it from a different angle to Kazakhstanis.
In conclusion, students and other participants of the round table asked questions to diplomats. Further, an exchange of views took place on the issues of close friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, further cooperation in the field of trade, economics and education.
