Arabic language week

March 27 at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies began the "Week of Arabic Language". The event was opened with a congratulatory speech by the dean of the faculty, Jubatova B.N. and the director of the cultural center of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Almaty, Dr. Hamdan Ibrahim. On this day the Egyptian scholar Ayman Abdel Adid delivered a lecture on Islam of Andalusia. Visitors and participants of the week of Arabic language admired the art exhibits opening the veil of secrets of Egyptian history. The second day of the week of Arabic was opened with the lecture "The History of the Mamluks" by Egyptian scientist, professor of the University Nur Mubarak, an expert on the history of Arab countries, Dr. Ahmad Ali. The students of the Arab branch, acquainted with the latest facts that  remained outside the Mameluke history, were happy to have access to the data necessary for their future research work. After the lecture, the guests and participants of the Arabic language week together watched one of the best examples of Arabic cinema.
