March 28-29, 2018 the KazNU held the Republican Subject Olympiad in Psychology.

12 teams came from different regions of Kazakhstan. The total number of participants in the Olympiad was 46 students and 12 leaders.

It is necessary to note the feature of the Subject Olympiad in 2018 - this is a complete change in the format of the event as a whole, respectively, new tasks were proposed.

The Olympiad consisted of 4 rounds, which were held on the 1st day, on the 28th of March.

1 round. Subject testing on basic disciplines (written task). Individual execution. The purpose of the tour is to test the theoretical knowledge of the participants of the Olympiad on 5 basic profile disciplines of specialty "5B050300-Psychology": General, Social, Differential, Medical Psychology, Psychological Сounseling. The total number of tests-100, to perform each task was given 1 minute. The maximum score is 100 points.

2 round. Practical task "Psychodiagnostics". Participants were required to compile a psychological profile of the client / patient based on the data of the psychological test, to make a conclusion and give recommendations (written assignment). The students were offered two methods: a projective drawing test and a standardized scale methodology MMPI. Command execution. The purpose of the tour is the evaluation of scientific and practical skills. The maximum score is 100 points. Evaluation criteria are presented in the table.

3 round. Presentation (showing) of promotional video clips from each team on the topic: "Psychologist's profession in the 21st century". Video clips should have been sent in advance and lasted no more than 3 minutes. It's homework. Command execution. The purpose of the tour is to evaluate the ability to show the importance of the profession of a psychologist in the modern world and the prospects for its development. Evaluation criteria - creativity, technical design, compliance with the purpose of the tour. The maximum score is 100 points.

4 round. Psychological quiz "What? Where? When?" in the format of the sports ChGK. Command execution. Logical questions about psychology and psychologists. The purpose of the tour is an assessment of the general erudition, the outlook of participants, knowledge of the main dates, names, events in the field of psychology. The maximum score is 100 points.

On March 29, for the participants of the Olympiad, master classes were organized by leading experts in Almaty:

Baymoldina Laura Orazbekovna - PhD, acting assistant professor, deputy of the Department of General and Applied Psychology for educational and educational work.

The chairman of the commission was Tolegenova Aliya Amangalievna - PhD, associate professor of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nur-Mubarak", director of the Psychological Center "Ayala".

The secretary of the commission was Sadykova Nazira Margusheva, candidate of psychology sciences, acting associate professor of the Department of General and Applied Psychology of KazNU.

The members of the commission had a very difficult task - to identify the best of the best students.

On March 29, after lunch, the results of the Subject Olympics were summed up and the winners were rewarded, diplomas and diplomas were awarded.

The winners of the Olympiad were determined by the average score for all 4 rounds. Prize-winners of the Republican Olympiad, who took 1, 2, 3 places, were awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Teams were awarded different nominations.

The chairman and all members of the commission expressed their wishes and gave parting words to the participants of the Olympiad, as well as their leaders. The final word was said by the head of the department Zabira Bekeshovna, inviting the best students to continue their education in the magistracy and doctoral studies of KazNU.

After the award, the team leaders and participants of the Olympiad shared their impressions and wishes. So, in particular the team leader of Toraighyrov PSU thanked the organizers of the Olympiad for well thought-out tasks aimed at assessing the professionalism of future psychologists, and Eldar Zhaparov member of the KazNPU team expressed his admiration for the atmosphere of the Olympiad as a whole, the opportunity to test themselves, showing their knowledge and practical skills, look at students from other universities, and learn a lot.
