On May 25, 2023, in the city of Almaty at the Sagadat Nurmagambetov Military Institute of Ground Forces, a commemorative ceremony was held dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birth of Army General, Hero of the Soviet Union, Халық Каһарманы No. 1, First Minister of Defense of Independent Kazakhstan Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

On the same day, in the cultural and leisure center of the institute, the REPUBLICAN MILITARY-SCIENTIFIC COMPETITION "Қaһaрман" was held among cadets and students of higher military and republican educational institutions, dedicated to Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

The main goal of the competition: to increase the opportunities for the development and socialization of military science; to support the military research work of young scientists, contribute to the formation of the intellectual potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Cadets of military educational institutions and also students and master's students of leading universities of Kazakhstan took part in the military-scientific competition. The scientific competition was attended by 15 research works from all over the Republic. The competition was held in three stages. YAFAROV RASUL – a 4th year student, specialty "Psychology" of the Department of General and Applied Psychology of Al-Farabi KazNU passed all stages and in defense received the 3rd place.
