On March 03, 2022 in Almaty, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a round table "Modern woman: education, profession, career" will be held.

The purpose of the round table is the exchange of scientific knowledge between scientists specializing in the field of gender studies or, to one degree or another, affecting gender issues in their work, with the aim of promoting the full and equal participation of women in education, training, employment and decision-making in the scientific field, encouraging them to develop scientific careers and recognizing their achievements in the profession.

The round table will consider the following issues: 

• The female face of Kazakhstani science and education
• Problems of representation and career development of women in the education system
• Gender asymmetry and feminization of science and higher education
• Problems of self-realization and professional growth of women in the context of the transformation of modern society
• Psychology of Women's Career: Personal and Ethnic Modes
• "Broken Ladder": gender obstacles in the early stages of a career

Scientists, heads of organizations and institutions, university professors, school principals, psychologists-researchers, as well as specialists dealing with gender issues in interdisciplinary research are invited to participate in the round table.
