OPEN DAY for school leavers

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, named after the famous philosopher of the East Abu-Nasr ibn Al-Farabi, is one of the leading universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

Founded in 1934, KazNU is constantly improving its position in the world education system. The University has a broad educational, scientific, spiritual and educational, innovative basis, focused on the training of highly qualified specialists, accepted according to international educational standards, integration into the world educational space, the development of fundamental and applied research, implemented in production.

The Department of General and Applied Psychology has been the leading department in the training of specialists since 1988. For more than a quarter of a century, it has been providing professional training for students of the Department of Psychology, as well as scientific research training of psychologists at the level of postgraduate education (internship, master's degree, PhD doctoral studies). The faculty of the department consists of 15 doctors and PhDs, 12 candidates of psychological sciences, who received professional education at the leading universities in the world.

The Department of General and Applied Psychology takes the 1st place in the independent rating of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the training of psychologists.

On April 30, the Department of «General and Applied Psychology» of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an open day on the Zoom platform to familiarize graduates. The event was attended by graduates of the school-gymnasium №47 named after T. Tazhibayev, in Shymkent, graduates of the secondary school of Kokozek village, in Almaty region, graduates of the secondary school №12 Zarechnoye, in Kapchagai, Almaty region, graduates of secondary school №25, Taldykorgan, in Almaty region, graduates of a specialized boarding school in Tolebi district, Turkestan region. During the event, they were given general information about the university and the department, and the questions of the graduates were answered.
