On December 3, 2020, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​A.K. Shayahmet held an educational and cultural event "Thanksgiving Day" as part of the "Brighten the corner where you are!" program. The event itself was held on the ‘BigBlueButton’ ‘Moodle’ platform, and the educational and cultural game ‘Kahoot!’ “Thanksgiving around the world” was organized using modern teaching technologies. Second-year students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies - Zhanerke Kulakhmetova, Diana Maksutova, Madina Kairatkyzy, Nuraim Sovetova, Ainur Bolatova, Altynay Razbek, Nurbota Esaly, Aida Suramay, Maya Kalmen - were speaking and presenting in English. The ‘Kahoot!’ winners - Aisha Zholdasbek - 1^st place, Ainur Bolatova - 2^nd place, Nurayim Sovetova - 3^rd place, as well as all participants demonstrated their cultural knowledge. In addition, the event allowed us to demonstrate our skills of cooperation and mutual assistance in the pandemic time.
