"Multinational Russia"

At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages, the ethnoclub "Russian World" continues its educational work. Club members - foreign students, in particular the students from Turkmenistan – not only attend classes, but also practice their language skills in the club, mastering the entertaining grammar of the Russian language, getting acquainted with the history of the country of the language being studied and Russian culture.

The club conducted another educational event on the topic “Multinational Russia”. For this club meeting, the students themselves prepared an interesting and colorful presentation about the peoples of Russia, which includes not only autochthonous, but also small peoples of the country. The students told that each nation has its own history, culture, heritage, its own traditions and customs and way of life. A variety of national costumes of the peoples of Russia were presented. During the meeting, students showed a video on the given topic. Summing up, in their speech, the students noted that despite the differences between nationalities, nothing prevents everyone from living together, like one big family in one huge house.The conversation took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The students expressed their gratitude to the club for the online meetings at which they improve their pronunciation, enrich their vocabulary, gradually overcome the language barrier, and also for the opportunity to get more information about the Russian language and Russian culture.
