On December 3, 2020, on the Microsoft Teams platform, the senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Bershina Nadezhda Vasilyevna held an educational event in honor of the Day of the First President. The Day of the First President has been celebrated since 2012 in recognition of the merits of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Kazakhstan. It was on this day, December 1, 1991, that he was elected the president of our country by a nationwide vote.

This year, in connection with the pandemic, many events are held in a remote format. So, students of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University of specialties "Ecology" and "Restaurant and Hotel Business" celebrated this holiday online. They discussed interesting facts from the biography of Nursultan Nazarbayev, photos and videos, the achievements of our state during the years of the first president. The students expressed their gratitude to the president for everything he did for our country, for the education and support of young leaders of Kazakhstan.
