On October 21, 2020, the leaders of the Club: the Lovers of English Songs held the annual meeting on the ZOOM online platform. The senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​- Mussanova G.A., Orazayeva G.A. organized the event. Theme of the event was “Contemporary English Music". The members of the Club were 1^st year students of 101, 102, 103, 104, 107 groups of the Faculty of Law, specialties "Jurisprudence" and "Law Enforcement", the Kazakh department.

One of the leaders of the Club, Mussanova G.A. welcomed the audience and participants of the event. She introduced the new members of the Club and the guest of the event. At the meeting, the club members communicated mainly in English. Within the framework of the Club meeting, performances and presentations of the participants on the topic of the event were made, they sang Alec Benjamin's song "Let me down slowly". Students talked about the author, discussed the content of the song, and did grammatical and lexical analysis of the song lyrics. This event was also attended by the tutor, an English teacher, a well-known blogger on online foreign language teaching, Aisulu Galymzhanovna Ismailova from the city of Taraz. In her speech, she shared her experience of teaching and learning a foreign language with students. Students asked different questions:

1) What is the easiest way of learning English? (student of 101 group Zhunuskhan Serik)

2) What kind of songs of Eminem do you like? (student of 102 group Kiyanbekuly Dias)

3) What kind of films do you recommend to watch for the lower level students? (student of 104 group Kairatkyzy Aiman)

4) What other foreign languages do you speak? (student of 103 group Salavatuly Damir)

The guest of the event, Ismailova Aisulu Galymzhanovna, gladly answered numerous questions in English.

         Students took part in the second meeting of the Club with a pleasure, at the end of the event they sang the song “Let me down slowly” in English. The event passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The event was attended by 20 students of the first course. The “English Club of Song Lovers” brings together students who strive to improve their speaking skills and their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary. The Participants and spectators actively participated in the event having demonstrated a good competence of English language. The leaders of the Club of English Song Lovers” note the good work of the Club members: perfectly executed presentations, its design, technical support of the event. At the end of the event, the leaders of the Club and the guest thanked the students for their active participation.
