On April 21 2021, A.O. Maukeyeva , Russian Philology and World Literature Department senior teacher together with the 2nd year students majoring in "Russian language and literature" held a curatorial hour, dedicated to Olzhas Suleimenov’s 85th anniversary.

During the meeting, students made presentations, told about the life and work of the famous poet and public figure, read and analyzed poems.

Olzhas Suleimenov is a great writer, public and political figure, linguist and researcher. The poet praises freedom of thought and defends the truth. He remains true to his beliefs and the artist's civic responsibility for his word. The poet combines original and multi-faceted creativity with large-scale social and political activities. Olzhas Suleimenov’s lyrics and poems have been translated into many languages. His name is known not only in Kazakhstan, but also in other countries.
