On April 29, 2021, the final 8^th meeting of the English Club of Song Lovers took place on the ZOOM online platform. The event was organized by the leaders of the club, Senior Lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​- Mussanova G.A., Orazaeva G.A. Theme of the event: "Songs that made a big impact on people." The event was attended by 1st year students of the Faculty of Law.

       Leaders of the Club Orazaeva G.A., Mussanova G.A. made a welcoming speech to the participants of today's meeting of the Club. As usual, the meeting of the Club was held in English. As part of the final meeting of the English club, first of all, the participants of the meeting made presentations on the topic of the event. Students Tlektes Nurkasym, Yerkuat Nurdaulet, Shamshybek Dinmukhammed at the club meeting shared interesting information about Selena Gomez's song "Who Says" and student Tursyngali Zayed spoke about Eminem's song "Mockingbird". In addition, students Kanzhigitova Aruzhan, Mukhamadi Yerdaulet, Maksatbek Arsen, Serikzhanuly Daniyar shared interesting information about the biographies of the singers, their achievements in the field of their career and their hit albums.

       At the final meeting, the members of the Club sang the song "Who Says" by Selena Gomez, discussed the content, conducted grammatical and lexical analysis of the song. Students Yerkuat Nurdaulet talked about the content of the song, Aruzhan Kanzhigitova explained the history of the song and why it became a hit. Student Shamshybek Dinmukhammed noted that this song helped to prevent suicide among young people in America and around the world, and it is a song that still inspires young people. Student Tlektes Nurkasym explained the grammar of the song. At the end of the Club meeting, students answered questions from the audience.

       All the participants and the audience of the English Club took part in the final meeting with a pleasure. The event passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This meeting of the Club brought together students who strive to improve their speaking skills, and their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary by listening to English songs. Also the member students actively participated in the event having demonstrated a good competence of English language. The leaders of the “Club of English Song Lovers” note the good work of the members: perfectly executed presentations, its design, technical support of the event. At the end of the event, the leaders of the Club thanked the students for their active participation.
