March 18 is National Clothes Day. On the occasion of the day celebrated in Nauryznamа, various events are held in different parts of the country.

Traditional values distinguish every nation. Just as a person has a personal signature, so every nation has its own unique customs and traditions.

National clothes are an integral part of any national culture. It's not just clothes, it's a huge story that defines the face of the whole nation.

In this regard, the UNESCO chair for Sustainable Development of the Kazakh National University held a Day of "National Clothes" on March 18 as part of the decade dedicated to the republican holiday of Nauryz.

The purpose of the event is to modernize the Kazakh style of clothing by popularizing Kazakh national clothes among students. The 1st year students of the educational programs "6B05202 Ecology" and "6B05205 Geography" tried to hold the event at a high level. Not only the history of the national costume was presented at the event, but an interesting quiz was also organized. In addition, students from Tajikistan donned their national clothes and performed traditional songs.

The main organizers, teachers of the department Daribayev Zh.E., Kutzhan A.N. and Zholdasbek A.E. explained the importance of the Day of "National Clothes", which, according to our tradition, was passed down from generation to generation.
