On February 3, 2023 at 15.00, the UNESCO chair for Sustainable Development of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management and the Institute for Sustainable Development of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University are holding an international webinar on the topic: “The strengthening of university role in the implementation of SDGS”.

The purpose of the webinar is to assess the contribution of universities to the achievement of the SDGs, strengthen collaboration by bringing together the experience of practitioners in the field of SDGs, and promote new initiatives that drive change.  

The webinar will be attended by teachers from universities of near and far abroad (France, Italy, Nigeria, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan).

In the process of discussing the role of universities in the implementation of the SDGs, issues of cooperation will be considered in such areas as the inclusion of the SDGs in the pedagogical and scientific activities of teachers, the introduction of the SDGs into internal management, culture and university management in general, and the development of youth leadership potential in the implementation of the SDGs.
