“Great poets of the Kazakh steppe: Dzhambul Jabayev and Mukagali Makatayev”.

       On April 16, 2021 the senior teachers of the Chair of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University Makhmetova D. M., Nezipbayeva Z. S. and Lugovskaya E. I. , and also the senior teacher of the Department of Philology, the Master of Philology of the Dulati Taraz State University Matzhanova Zhuldyz Knyazevna held an event, the theme of which was : “Great poets of the Kazakh steppe: Dzhambul Jabayev and Mukagali Makatayev”. The   master students and the 1-st year bachelor students   of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the аl-Farabi Kazakh National University and the students of the Taraz State University took part at this meeting which was held on the Microsoft Teams platform. The event was held in the frameworks of the 30-th anniversary of the celebration of Independence of Kazakhstan.

       Orazgalieva Aliya, the master course student of the Chemical Technology of Organic Substances specialty made a presentation on the topic “The life and the work of Mukagali Makatayev”. She spoke about the main periods of the poet's work and named his most important works. Then she showed a short video where the listeners could hear a song based on Mukagali Makatayev’s poems. After the presentation Estemes Sanjar and Kanay Daulet - both master course students of the Chemical Technology of Organic Substances specialty presented a quiz on the Kahoot platform on the topic: “Mukagali Makatayev”.

       After the quiz, the word was given to the master course student Omirzakova Arnur , who made a presentation dedicated to the world heritage of Dzhambul Dzhabayev. Omirzakova Arnur told the participants about the Dzhmbul Museum and the Research Center named after Dzhambul, opened at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The next presentation, prepared by the master course students of the Chemical Technology of Organic Substances specialty, was devoted to the life and work of this great akyn. In their presentation, the students described different periods of Dzhambul’s life and showed his interesting photos where he was photographed together with the prominent figures of the Soviet intelligentsia.

       At the end of the meeting there was a discussion the topic of which was the following : “Jambul and Mukagali Makatayev are devoted sons of their motherland , their life is a great example for future generations”.
