On February the 24^th, 2021, the members and participants of the “English Club of Songs Lovers” held the meeting on the ZOOM online platform. The senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​- Mussanova G.A., Orazayeva G.A. organized the event. Theme of the event was “Famous American Hits". The members of the Club were 1st year students of the Faculty of Law. The leaders of the Club, Orazayeva G.A., and Mussanova G.A. welcomed the audience and participants of the event.. At the meeting of the Club, the club members mostly communicated in English. Within the framework of the Club meeting, reports and presentations of the participants on the topic of the event were made, they sang Elvis Presley's hit song "Jailhouse Rock". Students talked about the author, discussed the content of the song, and did grammatical and lexical analysis of the lyrics of the song. The following club members prepared slides, made reports and presentations on the topics below:

1) Yerkuat Nurdaulet “The content of the song “Jailhouse Rock”;

2) Kanzhigitova Aruzhan “The history of the soundtrack”;

3) Shamshibek Dinmuhammed “Biography of Elvis Aaron Presley”;

4) Maksatbek Arsen “American Hit Songs from 2010-2020”

5) Muhammadi Yerdaulet analyzed the grammar and vocabulary of the song and the soundtrack “Jailhouse Rock ”.

At the end of the club meeting, students performed interesting grammar exercises and answered the questions from the audience.

       All the participants and the audience of the English Club took part in the sixth meeting with a pleasure. The event passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This meeting of the Club brought together students who strive to improve their speaking skills, and their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary by listening to Famous American Hits. Also the member students actively participated in the event having demonstrated a good competence of English language. The leaders of the “Club of English Song Lovers” note the good work of the members: perfectly executed presentations, its design, technical support of the event. At the end of the event, the leaders of the Club thanked the students for their active participation.
