Lingua club meeting on the topic: Al-Farabi’s legacy

Today the 1150th anniversary of the great teacher and thinker of the East, Abu Nasr Al-Farabi is celebrated all over the world. However, for Kazakhstan, the great thinker’s homeland, this date is of a great significance. Therefore, on November 27, 2020, on the ZOOM platform, within the framework of "Brighten the corner where you are" project, the senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, Candidate of Philological Sciences, "Lingua" club leader, Aisultanova K.A. held an educational event on the topic: " Al-Farabi’s legacy." The event was held with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, specialty "Islamic Studies". The purpose of the event was to introduce students to Abu Nasr Al-Farabi’s invaluable and vast heritage.
During the event, the students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science prepared interesting reports in English dedicated to great thinker’s life and work. They demonstrated a high English competence. Each presentation was accompanied by a slide show.
The event ended with a discussion and a short video on the topic: Al-Farabi in my life.
