On November 27, 2020, the international conference on the topic: The spiritual heritage of Abay and Al-Farabi: their place and significance in modern civilization was held on the ZOOM platform. The conference was organized by the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages. The conference was moderated by L. Musaly, Candidate of Philology. The well-known scholars of philology from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the conference. During the conference, the presentation of the new books, devoted to the life and work of the great thinkers of Kazakh culture: Abai Kunanabaev and Abu Nasr Al-Farabi took place.
The doctor of philological sciences, professor, director of Abai research institute, Dadebaev Zh.D opned the conference. Professor Dadebaev Zh.D. spoke about the latest scientific achievements in the study of Abai's literary legacy and emphasized the importance of this scientific event for the philological world community and Kazakhstan. The introductory part was continued by the speech of the doctor of philological sciences, professor Zhakyp B.O. Professor Zhakyp B.O. made a historical insight into the life and work of the great educator of the East, Abu Nasr Al-Farabi.
The conference ended with a panel discussion.
