Literary Roundtable was devoted to 125 anniversary of the birth of the English master of the detective genre Agatha Christie / 1890- 1976 /, which was marked by the literary world community on September 15, 2015.
In The Guinness Book of Records Agatha Christie has been marked as the best-selling author of all times. By these days about 2million copies of her novels have been sold.
The event was held in English. Students made several presentations in English , describing in detail the main stages of her biography
and creative work . The most popular novels and favorite characters of the writer -Miss Maple and Mr Poiro.- were espesially marked.
The Presenter held a quiz about the biography and works of the famous writer and the winners were awarded prizes.
In the course of the event was also shown a video about the life and work of the writer, which caused a great interest of students.
In the end of the event, students of specialty "Foreign philology" showed the audience a performance of several British jokes. It was noted that in the works of Agatha Christie's has always been a place for humour.
