Within the framework of the project "Rukhani Zhangyru" - "King Arthur"

Within the framework of the project "Rukhani Zhangyru", the heads of the "Movie Fans" club, senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages, Tleugabylova Z.A. and Makhazhanova L.M. on December 3, 2021, held an on-line discussion of the film "King Arthur". The discussion of the film was held according to the club's plan among 1st year students.

During the discussion of the film, the students asked each other questions in English and were pleasantly surprised that the close friends of King Arthur were Sarmatians. Azhmuratova Nurai, Dulatova Anel, Mukhamedzhanova Aida showed deep knowledge of the World history and history of Kazakhstan, telling about the period of the Scythians and Sarmatians. Sarmatians lived on the territory of Central Asia in the steppes of Kazakhstan.

King Arthur is a 2004 action-adventure, historical feature film co-produced by the United States, Great Britain and Ireland. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua.

452 AD young Sarmatians leave their native lands. A year earlier, their fathers had fought in the Battle of the Catalaunian Fields, and the Romans, shaken by their courage, had spared their lives. But in return, these soldiers pledged to give their children to serve in the Roman cavalry.

Young Sarmatians are taken to Britain, to a Roman bastion, where they meet their future commander, young Artorius Castus or Arthur. His father was killed in battle, and the boy was raised by the erisiarch Pelagius, who preached free will and the right of people to self-determination.

Since then, 15 years have passed, and by 467, Arthur and the Sarmatians, with their exploits, are gaining resounding fame among the Romans and Britons. Of those who arrived on the island, Lancelot, Tristan, Gawain, Galahad, Bors and Dagonet remain alive. Although many of them, especially Bors, bear little resemblance to the Romans, Arthur was able to instill in them a spirit of nobility, loyalty and brotherhood.
