Professors of the department “Turkology and language theory” of the Philology faculty, Dossanova Albina Maratkhanovna and Marina Zhambylkyzy participated in the International Scientific Symposium titled "Modern Trends in Education and Language Learning," held on October 17, 2023, at Nazarbayev University in Astana.

Speakers from the USA, highlighted several trends shaping the future of higher education in the United States, including population and enrollment, online learning and technology, access and cost, changing demographics, and diversity. Some trends are influenced by political discourse, at times hindering progress and innovation. Moreover, the ongoing globalization of the world's economy continues to create interdependence among nations, impacting higher education globally. Universities are facing a new form of interdependence, which can be influenced in part through fostering collaboration, collectively addressing common challenges, and ensuring equitable access.
