Interaction of science and industry through a joint transfer of technologies and commercialization of results of intellectual activity – ideas, inventions, scientific discoveries capable to provide continuous updating of technical and technological base of production, development and release of new competitive products, effective entering the world markets of innovative production – promotes modernization and diversifications of national economy, thereby providing increase of its competitiveness, stability and efficiency.

Every year Al-Farabi KazNU is carried out more than a quarter of orders for scientific researches. Relations with international organizations, funds, development institutes and business entities on direct R&D orders are established. Each year the university provides services on economic contracts on performance of R&D on actual scientific and technological problems of over 400 mln tenges.
