From May 27 to June 1, 2013 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the first vice-rector of Polytechnic University of Valencia, Mr. Juan Miguel Martínez Rubio.

Polytechnic University of Valencia is a leading institution of higher education in Spain, providing educational services in all areas of engineering and technology.

Mr. Juan Miguel Martínez Rubio visited a number of departments and examined the research and teaching laboratories.

It should be noted that the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Polytechnic University of Valencia have a valid agreement on cooperation in the framework of which the training of specialists si under way at the Physical and Technical Faculty.

As a result of the visit further steps are discussed to intensify future cooperation in education, research and innovation activities with Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Faculties of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as well as Biology and Biotechnology.
