Department of "Finance and Audit" was founded in April 2001 in order to training well educated specialists with relevant international standards on following two specialties: "Finance and сredit" and "Accounting and auditing".

The department worked in two directions on preparing specialists:

1. "Finance and Credit" provided training in following specializations: "Banking", "Tax", "Financial Management" and prepared highly qualified specialists for banks, insurance companies and investment funds. Civil servants to the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Tax Committee, Customs Committee, the Committee the Financial Control and financial service professionals of various business entities were also trained.

2. "Accounting and auditing" prepared accountant - economists on different forms of business entities.

Using during learning process foreign and domestic experience had a big contribution when preparing economists, financiers and bankers of high professional level.

Since 1^st September 2004 the department "Accounting and auditing" has separated from the department and the "Finance" department has started its work independently.

The department "Finance" is graduating highly educated specialists to banking sphere, tax system, insurance companies and various business entities.

Thus the department annually prepares young professionals (masters), contributing to training of highly qualified and competitive specialists for the department and the country. The first graduates are already working in banks, firms and companies, teaching at universities.

Educational process of Department is based on a perfect combination of the rich traditions of national high school and the best international practices. As a result, students have an opportunity to meet the latest developments of world economic thoughts in the finance and banking field.
